Barbie Superhero

Saw the tutorial on Nailside.

AND I DECIDED I GOTTA TRY IT!!

And i love the colour combi, its subtle but so compelling at the same time.

I think Huiming couldn't stop staring and touching it.... strange lol.

I used:
Base: China Glaze Sunset Sail (its a mildly sparkly peachy pink)
Lightning: Faceit (from Faceshop) GL 111, this glitter gold is awesome.

Matted it and BAM. AMAZING!

If there was a superhero barbie, I'M PRETTY SURE HER NAILS WOULD BE THIS COLOUR!

SWIRLY GOODNESS!

I think this is kind of SUPER PSYCHEDELICOZZ

um yeah, my boyfriend mentioned its like candy.

I think so too! I feel happy when i look at this one.

Of course its ALOT OF WORK, as with water marbling stuff, the usual tape everything, alot of cleaning. etc.

I used:
Yellow: OPI It Colour
Red: China Glaze Poinsettia
Silver: China Glaze Icicle
Lavender: China Glaze Secret Periwinkle
White Base: OPI Alpine Snow

GALAXYYYYYYY

I am an mmorpg addict. And have been eagerly waiting for Star Wars: The Old Republic to be launched ever since about 2 years ago.

AND ON 20TH DEC ITS FINALLY GONNA BE LAUNCHED!

Sorry for the sidetrack, this one was specially done because i was in a super good mood for getting into the ULTRA RARE beta.

I got the tutorial off youtube, amazing stuff there.

You will need:

1. Black/Dark Blue base (I personally found it nicer when i use sparkly black instead of jet black, sparkle = stars, u know?)

2. Yellow Polish, i used a neon yellow that i bought from Cine
3. Rosy Pink Polish, i used baby pink, it did the job anyways.
4. Dark Blue Polish, for blending the nebula.
5. White Polish, for creating the nebula in the first place.
6. Good Topcoat, to seal everything down, Seche Vite obviously.

Handful of polishes yeahhhh!

Ferrero

The matt version just reminds me so much of Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

Ring & Pinkie are shiny versions,
Pointer & Middle are matt versions.

I prefer the matt ones (looked less auntie-ish), so I went ahead and matted everything.
But on hindsight, I think the shinier ones might have been better?

Base: OPI Design Illuminate
Konad: plate M63, black polish

Murky Valentine

You know, this design is very... girly in the i-love-scrapbooking way.

I like it, a lot.

I think i went with this colour because this design felt like it worked well with a 'soft' approach?

Base: OPI Ginger Bells
Konad: plate M83, minty green polish

It looks like moldy chocolate milk, in the good way. Love.

SUPER AWESOME CHEVRON NAILS OMG?!

OMG.

This has got to be in my list of all time favorites.

I used a silver holo bling bling polish as the base, Konad R35 Ice Silver.
Got it from Gmarket, I love this colour, it is super shiny, with holo glitter.
Dries fast and smudges are not visible!

I would imagine this colour is good for cracks too, because of the super grainy surface!

OK sorry back on track, Konad-ed the chevron design over (plate M63).

I didn't think i would like it as much as i did before starting.

BUT OMG LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE~!

More BLENDING!

If i don't remember wrongly...

Step 1. Sheer pink base
Step 2. Sponged on light blue
Step 3. Sponged on dark blue
Step 4. Clean up mega mess on the side of nails

DONE!

I must admit this one if done well can be quite awesome :P

The trick (at least for me) is to make sure the polish is wet, because most of us tend to drip some polish on a plastic-something then sponge from there, after a while it becomes pasty and isn't good for sponging cause it will end up like a Rembrant painting (think chunky pieces sticking out).

Also trick number 2 is to actually not have too much polish on the sponge, otherwise you won't be able to get the 'blended' look, it'll be like applying nail polish with a sponge -.-".

Trick number 3, not sure if this qualifies as a trick, have LOTS of cotton buds handy, the clean up work is MAJOR!

Black & Silver

You know, this one is actually quite beautiful.
It's not the SUPER BLING BLING kind, more subtle and obvious up-close.

I used a random black polish, matted that layer, then topped off with a sort of glittery gun-metal silver colour.

One of my earliest Konad-ing!

This is quite unusual of me, too girly i guess :P

But I LIKE IT.

Hi Everyone

This is one of those things where I've been posting my nail adventures on FB and finally decided that I should put it elsewhere?

Welcome!
